This Fall's harvest will mark a special time for Schermer Pecans as the family celebrates the company's 70th year in business.  "Working land that my family owned for over a century really makes you aware of your responsibility to be a good steward of your blessing and make sure you pass on something that will be sustainable for generations to come," explains owner Putt Wetherbee.

To mark the anniversary, Wetherbee commissioned artisan Steve Schoettle of Sea Island Forge to create a beautiful and functional nutcracker to pair with the family's pecans.  "We hope this hand-forged heirloom will be a reminder of Schermer’s heritage, and enjoyed by you and your family for years to come," says Wetherbee.
